Broadkill Resort - Write at the Beach

Directions

Broadkill Beach is just a 2 hour drive from Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia.

From Washington DC

  • Take Route 50 East towards Annapolis/Bay Bridge
  • Use the right 2 lanes to stay on US 50 East toward Ocean City
  • Turn left on MD-404E/Queen Anne Hwy
  • Turn Left onto MD16 E
  • You will drive through 2 small towns, Greenwood and Ellendale, OBEY THE 25 MPH speed limit because they are always on the lookout for speeders
  • Eventually you will see signs for Prime Hook Wildlife preserve and will drive through wetlands.
  • Turn left on North Bayshore Dr.
  • The house is on the corner of North Bayshore Dr. and Mississippi Ave., parking is on Mississippi so turn left. Park in front of the garage or deck, go through the gate to the deck and enter through the yellow door.

From Baltimore

  • Take 695 South
  • Keep left at the fork to continue on I-97 S, follow signs for Annapolis/Bay Bridge
  • Take Route 50 East towards Annapolis/Bay Bridge
  • Use the right 2 lanes to stay on US 50 East toward Ocean City

  • Use right 2 lanes to take exit 4A for DE-7 S toward DE-1 S/Christiana Mall Rd
  • Continue onto DE-1 S/US-13 S
  • Turn Left onto DE16 E
  • Turn left on North Bayshore Dr.
